The ARRI LMB 4×5 mattebox ships from ARRI in a generic accessory box that gets thrown out within a week of any active production. After that, the mattebox lives loose in a camera cart, where its filter stage gets scratched and its top/side flags get bent. This case is the alternative — a hardshell flight case built specifically for the LMB 4×5 with foam cutouts for the mattebox body, the filter trays, the top flag, and the side flags.
Interior layout: the LMB body sits in the lower foam with the rotating filter stage facing up; two 4×5.65 filter trays sit in dedicated cutouts (matched for the standard ARRI tray dimensions); the top flag, side flags, and clamp-on adapter sit in upper foam cutouts that won't crush against the lower hardware. Everything travels in working orientation, which means setup at the next location is minutes instead of an unpacking puzzle.
Shell is ATA 300 Category 1 with recessed ball-corner latches, pressure-equalization valve, and a soft-grip handle. Foam is CNC-cut closed-cell polyethylene profiled to the mattebox body dimensions.
