Why the stock case stops working
Long telephotos and fast primes are the awkward ones - they are heavy, they are front-heavy, and almost nobody wants to strip the hood and collar every time the bag gets packed.
Cut hood-on
A 180-600 or a 400 f/2.8 lives with its hood reversed or fitted. We cut the pocket around the lens as you actually carry it, not as it ships in the box.
Weight carried properly
Heavy glass cradled at the barrel and the mount, not resting on the front element or hanging off a collar foot.
Bodies and glass together
