AKS X Case

An adjustable-divider AKS case for the camera assistant who carries a different kit every project. The interior uses hook-and-loop adjustable dividers rather than CNC-cut foam cutouts, which means the layout can be reconfigured for each shoot without having to commission a new case. The trade-off is slightly less impact protection than dedicated foam, but the flexibility is the point.

The interior dividers are firm-foam panels with hook-and-loop strips on all edges, attaching to a hook-and-loop liner on the case walls and floor. The configuration can range from a few large compartments to many small dedicated cutouts, depending on what the kit demands. The dividers can be removed entirely if the kit needs a single open compartment.

The case shell is ATA 300 Category 1 with carry-on dimensions, recessed ball-corner latches, pressure-equalization valve, and a soft-grip handle sized for one-handed gate carry. The interior dimensions match airline cabin requirements while still providing meaningful divider depth.
