The Angenieux Optimo 17-80mm is one of the most-rented Optimo zooms — a Super-35 wide-to-medium-tele zoom at T2.2 with the legendary Optimo character that's been a narrative reference for decades. The lens is physically substantial and needs dedicated case support.The CNC-cut foam interior cradles the 17-80mm body along its full length with dedicated support at the front element, the zoom and focus rings, and the PL mount end. The cutout holds the lens with mount facing up for fast deployment, and the foam supports the optical block without putting load on the rear element.Shell is ATA 300 Category 1 with recessed ball-corner latches, pressure-equalization valve, and reinforced soft-grip handles. Closed-cell polyethylene foam CNC-cut to the Optimo 17-80mm body.Built in our North Hollywood workshop. Lead time 14–21 business days.
