A custom case for the Codex onboard recorder paired with the ARRI ALEXA SXT. The CNC-cut foam interior holds the recorder body in a contoured cradle, with separate fitted wells for Codex Capture Drives, BNC / power cabling, mounting hardware (cheese plate, dovetail, top plate), and the small accessories the kit travels with on set and on DIT carts. The Codex recorder is the high-bandwidth capture path for the SXT — it earns its keep when packed protected, ready to deploy, and with media kept separate from the recorder body. Our layout reflects how the recorder is actually used on set rather than how it ships from the factory.Designed and foamed in North Hollywood by Innerspace Cases. Cases for other Codex products (XR Capture Drive, S-series, Compact Drives) and other ARRI camera bodies can be spec'd to the same standard — call 818-767-3030.

Will this fit my setup?

Tell us what you’re protecting and everything that travels with it. We check it against this build’s foam layout and reply with either a confirmation or the change we’d make. No obligation, and it goes to the people who cut the foam.

We reply with a real answer, usually same business day.

My setup is different

Different body, extra accessories, an accessory that has to stay mounted, or dimensions that don’t exist yet. We modify an existing design or engineer a new one.

I need several

Repeatable foam layouts, consistent hardware, replacement foam and reorders against the same drawing. Standard practice for rental houses and studio fleets.
