The Canon EOS C400 rarely travels bare. By the time it leaves the truck it’s wearing a cage, a dovetail, rods and a power block — and stripping all of that down to pack it is how accessories go missing and how threads get crossed on the next build-up.
This case is cut so the C400 travels as you actually run it. The CNC foam accommodates a Wooden Elite Accessory System, MID49, Tilta or Bright Tangerine cage, with dedicated space for the power supply, dovetail, rods and the loose accessories that otherwise ride in a pocket. Nothing has to come off between jobs.
The insert is built into a Pelican Air 1637 — watertight, crushproof and noticeably lighter than a comparable Protector shell, which matters on a camera package that already travels heavy. Foamed and finished in North Hollywood.

Does the camera fit with the cage still on?
Yes — that is the point of this build. The foam is cut to accept the C400 wearing a Wooden Elite, MID49, Tilta or Bright Tangerine cage, so it goes from case to sticks without a rebuild. Running a cage that isn’t on that list? Tell us on the quote and we cut to it.
What else travels in the case?
Dedicated space for the power supply, dovetail and rods, plus room for the smaller accessories that normally end up loose. Add anything specific — a monitor, a wireless transmitter, a second battery block — to your quote.
Is the Pelican Air shell as tough as a Protector?
The Air 1637 carries the same IP67 watertight, crushproof rating in a lighter shell. Our CNC foam does the impact isolation inside it. If you would rather have the heavier Protector or a Storm shell, we build those too.
What’s the lead time, and can you rush it?
Every case is built to order and ships in about 14–21 business days. Rush production is available as a premium by quote when a deadline is tight — tell us your date and we’ll price it.
Do you build these for a fleet?
