The GFX ETERNA 55 is a large-format cinema body, and the crews using it are mostly moving it themselves — between a car, a location and a hotel — rather than shipping it as freight.
This is the compact build for that. Custom foam in a Pelican Air 1637 holds the ETERNA 55 with its top handle and viewfinder fitted, plus room for additional accessories, without the bulk of a full ATA case.
IP67 watertight and crushproof shell, foam cut and finished in North Hollywood. If you need the larger accessory build instead, we make that as a custom ATA case.

Does it fit with the viewfinder and handle on?
Yes — the foam is cut with the top handle and viewfinder fitted, so the camera does not have to be broken down to pack.
How is this different from the ATA accessory build?
This is the compact, lighter version in a Pelican Air shell for crews carrying the camera themselves. The larger custom ATA build carries a fuller accessory load-out and takes any cage configuration.
Is the shell waterproof?
The Pelican Air 1637 is IP67 watertight and crushproof with an automatic purge valve. Our CNC foam provides the impact isolation inside it.
What’s the lead time, and can you rush it?
Every case is built to order and ships in about 14–21 business days. Rush production is available as a premium by quote when a deadline is tight — tell us your date and we’ll price it.
Do you build these for a fleet?
Yes. Outfitting a rental inventory, a multi-camera package, or a facility is our specialty — standardized, re-orderable builds with optional engraved IDs. Request a fleet quote and we’ll spec the run.
