The CNC-cut foam interior supports the lens barrel along its full length, with separate fitted pockets for the hand grip / drive unit, support feet, and any AKS that travel with the lens (handgrip cables, monitor mount, lens-support bracket).This case is built to keep the heavy zoom from rolling or shifting in transit, and to spread support load away from the PL mount and the servo housing.
