IronGlass rehouses vintage Soviet-era Helios and MIR primes into cine-mount housings with PL mount, matched 80mm front rings, and consistent focus gearing — turning a kit of legendary Eastern Bloc stills primes into a modern cine prime set with the character that comes from glass that wasn't designed for clinical perfection. This case carries a 7-lens IronGlass set in a Pelican 1560 base with vertical loading for both 85mm variants.
The CNC-cut foam interior profiles each IronGlass rehoused barrel — the housings are standardized across the IronGlass line, so the cutouts are consistent even though the donor lens varies between Helios 44, MIR, Jupiter, and Tair models. Vertical loading on both 85mm cutouts (the IronGlass 85/2 and 85/1.5) keeps the case footprint compact for the otherwise heavy 7-lens kit.
The Pelican 1560 base is the industry standard for protected lens transport — waterproof to IP67, ATA 300 Category 1, with pressure-equalization valve and recessed latches. Soft-grip handles on the lid and front edge for two-handed lifts.
