Leitz Hugo’s 6 hole vertical

The Leitz Hugo primes are a vintage-character cine line from Leitz, built around recycled Leica still-photo elements rehoused into modern cine housings. The look is distinctive — softer, more cinematic skin tones, and a noticeable falloff that puts the subject in relief against the background. The set is most commonly carried as six focal lengths covering wide to medium-long.

This case carries the 6-lens Hugo set in vertical layout. The CNC-cut foam interior is profiled to the Leitz Hugo barrel dimensions, which are standardized across the set thanks to Leitz's matched cine housings. Vertical loading roughly halves the case footprint compared to a horizontal layout — important when the Hugo set travels alongside other camera cases on a cart or in a Sprinter van.

The shell is ATA 300 Category 1 with recessed ball-corner latches, pressure-equalization valve, and soft-grip handles for two-handed lifts (the Hugo set is heavy when fully loaded). Foam is closed-cell polyethylene CNC-cut to the exact lens diameter and length — holds tight tolerance through hundreds of insertion cycles.
