Custom flight case for the Nikkor 300mm f/2 rehoused by Century Precision Optics — a legendary fast telephoto that became a cine workhorse after Century added 0.8 mod gears, an iris ring, and standard cine focus throw. The barrel is long and front-heavy, and the rear element sits proud of the mount, so the foam well is contoured to support the lens along its full length with a deeper pocket at the front element and clearance at the rear cap.
The interior is single-bay with CNC-cut high-density polyethylene foam, a velvet-soft lid layer to keep the focus and iris rings from chafing, and rebate cuts that let a follow-focus or support bracket stay attached if you ship the lens built up. The shell is a hard ATA-rated case built in North Hollywood — the same enclosure spec used for our rehoused-prime kits, sized to one piece of long glass.
Designed and built at 11555 Cantara Street, North Hollywood, CA. To spec a case for a different rehoused barrel or to add a second well for the front diopter, call 818-767-3030.
