Ancient Optics rehouses vintage Minolta Rokkor primes — the legendary 1960s-70s Minolta stills line — into PL-mount cine housings with matched focus gearing and consistent front diameter. The result is a cine prime kit with the Rokkor character — soft rendering, gentle falloff, vintage flare — in a modern operational form. This case carries a 7-lens Ancient Optics Rokkor set.
The CNC-cut foam interior profiles each rehoused barrel to the standardized Ancient Optics Rokkor housing dimensions (consistent across the set even though the donor lens varies between Rokkor 24, 28, 35, 50, 58, 85, 135mm). Each cutout holds the lens with PL mount facing up. The 7-lens horizontal layout keeps the case wider but flatter.
Shell is ATA 300 Category 1 with recessed ball-corner latches, pressure-equalization valve, and reinforced soft-grip handles for two-person lifts. Closed-cell polyethylene foam CNC-cut to spec.
Built in our North Hollywood workshop. Lead time 14–21 business days. For an 8- or 9-lens Rokkor set with the longer 200mm or shorter 17mm, call 818-767-3030.

Will this fit my setup?
Tell us what you’re protecting and everything that travels with it. We check it against this build’s foam layout and reply with either a confirmation or the change we’d make. No obligation, and it goes to the people who cut the foam.
Got it — we’re checking your package.
We have your configuration and the exact build you were looking at. You’ll hear back with a fit confirmation or the modification we’d recommend.
My setup is different
Different body, extra accessories, an accessory that has to stay mounted, or dimensions that don’t exist yet. We modify an existing design or engineer a new one.
I need several
Repeatable foam layouts, consistent hardware, replacement foam and reorders against the same drawing. Standard practice for rental houses and studio fleets.
