Custom case for the Zeiss Compact Zoom CZ.2 28-80mm T2.9 — the working mid-range cine zoom in Zeiss's CZ.2 line that became the rental-house standard for documentary, commercial, and indie narrative productions that wanted a single zoom rather than swapping primes. The CZ.2 is moderate weight and the case is built without going to a wheeled shell.Interior is CNC-cut HDPE foam contoured to the CZ.2 barrel with a deep front-element pocket, a PL or EF rear-cap pocket (specify mount on order), rebate cuts for a rear support bracket if the lens ships built up, and a velour-faced lid contact layer that protects the focus, zoom, and iris ring markings. Shell is an injection-molded hard case sized to the CZ.2 footprint.Built at 11555 Cantara Street, North Hollywood. For a CZ.2 70-200mm case, a combined 28-80 + 70-200 case, or a matched CP.3 prime case, call 818-767-3030.

Will this fit my setup?

Tell us what you’re protecting and everything that travels with it. We check it against this build’s foam layout and reply with either a confirmation or the change we’d make. No obligation, and it goes to the people who cut the foam.

We reply with a real answer, usually same business day.

My setup is different

Different body, extra accessories, an accessory that has to stay mounted, or dimensions that don’t exist yet. We modify an existing design or engineer a new one.

I need several

Repeatable foam layouts, consistent hardware, replacement foam and reorders against the same drawing. Standard practice for rental houses and studio fleets.
