The case is sized for a working set of Aputure barn doors and modifier accessories, with CNC-cut foam wells shaped to the barn door assembly's hinge points, reflector dish, and any mount adapters. Foam profiles protect the leaf hinges so they don't bend in transit, and a flat layer holds gels, lens diffusers, or grid attachments. The Pelican 1550 is a working location-friendly shell — gasketed lid, automatic purge valve, and copolymer impact body for the rough handling stage and location use creates. Foam density is tuned to the lightweight modifier kit so the barn door leaves don't migrate during truck moves.Designed and built by Innerspace Cases in North Hollywood, California. Will this fit my setup?

Tell us what you’re protecting and everything that travels with it. We check it against this build’s foam layout and reply with either a confirmation or the change we’d make. No obligation, and it goes to the people who cut the foam.

We reply with a real answer, usually same business day.

My setup is different

Different body, extra accessories, an accessory that has to stay mounted, or dimensions that don’t exist yet. We modify an existing design or engineer a new one.

I need several

Repeatable foam layouts, consistent hardware, replacement foam and reorders against the same drawing. Standard practice for rental houses and studio fleets.
