The Sony PXW-FS7 is the workhorse documentary and broadcast camera that's stayed in service through a decade of rental cycles — built for handheld shooting with a stock viewfinder rig that takes accessories most other camera systems can't. This case is built to ship the FS7 as a working system: the body, the extension unit, the handle grip, the card reader, media, and rods — together, with wheels for cart-mode transport.The CNC-cut foam interior has dedicated cutouts for the FS7 body in its working orientation, the XDCA-FS7 extension unit, the handle grip, the card reader, four media cards, 12-inch and 18-inch rods, and three accessory compartments, under a drop lid. Everything travels in deployed configuration so setup at the next location is minutes instead of an assembly puzzle.The shell is ATA 300 Category 1 with recessed twist latches (the larger size requires the heavier-duty latch), pressure-equalization valve, and in-line tilt-and-roll wheels with a hidden pull-out handle for cart-mode transport. Soft-grip lifting handles on both ends for two-person carries when wheels can't be used.Built in our North Hollywood workshop. Lead time 14–21 business days.
