This Pelican Air 1637 protects a fully built ARRI Alexa 35 package, trip after trip. The camera stows built-up in carpet-lined dual-density foam with the LPL mount, the MVF connector, and the rear ports framed clear so nothing bears load in transit, and dedicated spots hold the dovetail, a SmallHD 7-inch monitor and rods alongside several modular AKS wells.
The Alexa 35 is the current-generation Super-35 ARRI cinema camera — the workhorse A-camera on a huge share of commercial and narrative work — so it moves constantly between stage, location, and rental. CNC-cut foam gives the body and its accessory kit each a contoured well, so an open-case glance confirms the package is complete before the truck rolls: count-at-a-glance check-in and check-out for camera assistants and rental desks. The Air 1637 shell is crushproof, watertight, and light enough to fly built-up.
It also makes freight claims winnable — carriers routinely deny damage claims on self-packed electronics, while an ATA-rated case makes the shipment insurable and the claim defensible.
