The ARRI 16 SR3 is the modern iteration of the 16 SR line — still in active service for narrative and documentary work that wants 16mm film capture with more refined hardware than the earlier SR2. The SR3 body is precision-machined and houses the optical viewfinder, the motor, and the magazine mount that need to travel as a working system.This case is built specifically for the SR3 body in shooting orientation. The CNC-cut foam interior cradles the camera with cutouts for the motor controller, the magazine port, and the working AKS (battery, cable harness, viewfinder eyecup). The camera loads and unloads as a working configuration so it deploys at the next location ready to shoot.Shell is ATA 300 Category 1 with recessed ball-corner latches, pressure-equalization valve (critical for film cameras crossing altitude), and a soft-grip carry handle. Closed-cell polyethylene foam CNC-cut to the SR3 body profile.Built in our North Hollywood workshop. Lead time 14–21 business days.
