The Sony BURANO — an 8K full-frame Cinema Line body in the $25,000 class — drops into a CNC-cut foam well shaped to the body, with a separate clearance pocket for the integrated EVF arm and the side-handle assembly. Against the camera it protects, the case is a rounding error. The PL mount throat sits in a recessed profile so the lens flange isn't loaded during transit, and an upper accessory layer holds the battery, side handle, and AC.
BURANO is built to be a compact, in-body-stabilized A/B camera to the VENICE line, so it moves constantly between truck, rental house, and stage. Each component seats in its own well, so an open-case glance confirms the package is complete before load-in — count-at-a-glance check-in and check-out for camera assistants and rental desks. The sealed ATA shell protects the body over road and air freight.

Can the foam be cut for my exact BURANO build?
Yes — every case is built to order, so the wells follow your rig. Add space for a matte box, a wireless video transmitter, a cage, extra batteries or media, or a fully-built profile, and we CNC-cut the foam to match. Tell us your loadout on the quote.
Is the body and mount protected in transit?
The body seats in a contoured foam cradle with the lens mount recessed so the flange isn't loaded, connectors framed clear, and the camera held below the lid line — inside an ATA-rated shell built for road and air freight.
Is there a wheeled or Pelican version?
Yes — we build a wheeled BURANO ATA case with a pullout handle for solo moves, and a Pelican-shell version for working configurations that move frequently. Ask and we'll point you to the right one.
