An optional case-interior upgrade: a black velvet liner applied over the closed-cell foam cutouts. The velvet protects high-gloss lens barrels, presentation-grade finishes, and polished hardware from micro-abrasion that can occur when bare foam meets a glossy surface across hundreds of insertion cycles. The liner is bonded to the foam during fabrication, not applied as an after-market wrap, so it stays attached through years of use without peeling at the cutout edges. The velvet pile is dense enough to provide cushioning above the foam but short enough that it doesn't compress under the weight of the carried equipment. This is most often spec'd for cases that carry display-grade equipment — presentation cameras, polished lens samples, rehoused vintage glass, or items where surface finish is part of the product value. It's also called out for delicate optical accessories like front diopters and clear filters where a bare-foam contact pattern would be visible.Spec this as an interior option when ordering a custom case. Lead time matches the parent case (14–21 business days for standard builds, longer for custom layouts). Call 818-767-3030 or use the Request a Quote form to add velvet lining to a case already in your kit.

Will this fit my setup?

Tell us what you’re protecting and everything that travels with it. We check it against this build’s foam layout and reply with either a confirmation or the change we’d make. No obligation, and it goes to the people who cut the foam.

We reply with a real answer, usually same business day.

My setup is different

Different body, extra accessories, an accessory that has to stay mounted, or dimensions that don’t exist yet. We modify an existing design or engineer a new one.

I need several

Repeatable foam layouts, consistent hardware, replacement foam and reorders against the same drawing. Standard practice for rental houses and studio fleets.
