Flanders Scientific XMP270 — Cases & Transport Protection
A 26.5-inch UHD HDR master monitor is the most expensive sheet of glass on the truck, and it moves between carts and suites constantly. The XMP270 is our most-cased FSI panel — 7 builds, including wheeled and dual-monitor layouts.

About this equipment
The Flanders Scientific XMP270 is a 26.5-inch UHD HDR reference monitor — the class of display DITs and colorists judge the image on, which is why it travels more than a mastering monitor ever should. Seven of our builds are cut for it, more than any other FSI panel in the catalog, most in Pelican 1650-class shells and several with wheels, because a cased 27-inch master monitor is a rolling load.
Reference panels fail invisibly: face pressure and corner shocks show up as uniformity problems and dead zones, not cracks, and the discovery happens in front of a client. Every XMP270 layout carries the panel face-down to clean foam with the full display area supported, and accessories — hoods, power, cabling — in their own cavities where nothing hard shares space with glass.
Choose protection by workflow
Occasional moves, vehicle transport: foam inserts and padded protection in a case you own.
Travel and carry-on workflows: compact hard-shell builds sized to airline limits.
Constant shipping: ATA shells, modular replaceable foam, fleet-matched layouts.
Purpose-built around your exact package and workflow.

Transport knowledge
Face pressure and corner impacts, with damage that reads as uniformity drift or dead zones rather than visible cracks. On a monitor whose whole job is being right, that failure mode is the expensive kind — a rigid shell with a face-to-foam cavity prevents it.
Stage to cart, cart to suite, the fifty-foot carry at wrap — most panel damage happens on moves too short to feel worth the case. The rule that works: on its mount or in its case, no third state.
Color-critical work often travels matched pairs. The dual-XMP270 build carries two panels in one compact case with a shared accessory bay — half the trips, one count at wrap.

Frequently asked questions
The hood travels in its own cavity, not on the panel — attached hoods transmit exactly the loads the foam exists to prevent. Tell us your accessories and the layout includes them.
Yes — the dual-monitor build carries a matched pair face-to-foam. Larger monitor fleets are a quote away; matched multi-case sets are what we build best.
Builds shown here are made to order and typically ship in 7–10 business days. New layouts are quoted per project.
