The Angenieux Optimo 44-440 A2S is one of the largest cine zoom lenses in production — a 10× anamorphic from 44 to 440mm at T4.5, used on aerials, wildlife, and long-lens narrative work where a prime swap isn't practical. The lens is also genuinely heavy and long, which means a generic camera case won't support its body correctly and will let the optical block torque against the mount.This case is built specifically for the 44-440 A2S. The CNC-cut foam interior cradles the lens along its full length with dedicated support at the front element, the zoom and focus rings (which are not load-bearing), and the lens mount end. The foam is profiled so the lens loads and removes without bearing weight on the rear element, and the cutout protects against rolling impact.The shell is built to ATA 300 Category 1 with reinforced corners (this case ships heavy), pressure-equalization valve, recessed twist latches, and large lifting handles on both ends for a two-person carry. The interior also includes a small accessory cutout for the zoom motor drive bracket if you carry one.Made in our North Hollywood workshop. Lead time on this case runs 14–21 business days.
