The CNC-cut foam interior cradles the lens along its full barrel length, with separate fitted wells for the lens support, focus / iris gear rings, and any AKS the lens travels with.The 180mm S4/i is one of the longest spherical primes in active cinema use — it doesn't fit in the standard S4/i kit case footprint and benefits from a dedicated case sized to its specific length and balance.
