An 8-slot CNC insert in the Pelican 1610 for the GL Optics rehoused Super Takumar set — the M42-derived Asahi Pentax primes (typically 20/28/35/50/85/105/135/200 in GL's rehouse) that productions reach for when they want the Takumar look without the M42 mount headaches. Each well is sized to the rehoused barrel — wider and longer than stock Takumars — with rear donuts for the rear element.

The 1610 Protector shell brings the standard Pelican wet-set protection: IP67 watertight, automatic pressure equalization valve, and an Olive Drab or Black exterior. CNC-cut polyethylene + cross-linked foam, navy under-color, no off-the-shelf insert. Built in North Hollywood. For a 6 + AKS layout, or a Pelican Air swap to drop transit weight, call 818-767-3030.

Will this fit my setup?

Tell us what you’re protecting and everything that travels with it. We check it against this build’s foam layout and reply with either a confirmation or the change we’d make. No obligation, and it goes to the people who cut the foam.

We reply with a real answer, usually same business day.

My setup is different

Different body, extra accessories, an accessory that has to stay mounted, or dimensions that don’t exist yet. We modify an existing design or engineer a new one.

I need several

Repeatable foam layouts, consistent hardware, replacement foam and reorders against the same drawing. Standard practice for rental houses and studio fleets.
