ATA 300 flight case built around the GL Optics rehoused Voigtlander 36-82mm. Single contoured well captures the rehoused barrel with foam relief at the focus and zoom rings so gears stay clear. Front and rear cap pockets keep the optic protected during ground handling and transport. Lid foam locks the lens at the rear flange so it cannot shift under air pressure changes.
The ATA shell is a 3/8 in plywood + ABS laminate construction with steel ball corners, recessed butterfly latches, and edge-mounted spring handles. Riveted aluminum extrusion at every edge meets ATA 300 Category 1 requirements for repeated air shipment. Interior lined in laminate; foam set is replaceable as a drop-in.
