Single-bay case for the Kinoptik 9.8mm rehoused by Zero Optik — one of the rarer wide focal lengths in the rehoused-vintage catalog and an irreplaceable lens if it's lost or damaged in transit. The Zero Optik rehouse standardizes the front to 80mm, adds cine focus and iris gears, and keeps the original Kinoptik glass cell, including a rear element that sits close to the PL flange. The foam well is contoured around that rear element with a clearance pocket so nothing can press against it.Interior is CNC-cut HDPE with a velour-faced lid layer that doesn't shed fiber onto the front element. The well is deep enough to take the lens fully built up — focus gear on, donut on — and the rear-cap pocket is sized to the Zero Optik PL cap specifically. Shell is ATA-300 hard side.Designed and manufactured at 11555 Cantara Street, North Hollywood. For multi-lens Zero Optik rehouse kits (Kinoptik Tegea, Cooke Speed Panchro), call 818-767-3030.

Will this fit my setup?
Tell us what you’re protecting and everything that travels with it. We check it against this build’s foam layout and reply with either a confirmation or the change we’d make. No obligation, and it goes to the people who cut the foam.
Got it — we’re checking your package.
We have your configuration and the exact build you were looking at. You’ll hear back with a fit confirmation or the modification we’d recommend.
My setup is different
Different body, extra accessories, an accessory that has to stay mounted, or dimensions that don’t exist yet. We modify an existing design or engineer a new one.
I need several
Repeatable foam layouts, consistent hardware, replacement foam and reorders against the same drawing. Standard practice for rental houses and studio fleets.
