Custom-routed foam locks down the optical block, focus and iris gears, and PL or EF mount from impact and pressure so nothing shifts in handling.
An ATA-300 rated shell - plywood with laminate exterior, steel valances, and recessed hardware - stands up to the 100-plus round trips of working rental and production travel. Exterior dimensions are about 22.25 x 14.25 x 12.5 in, ships at about 25 lb. Made in the USA.
