The CNC-cut foam interior stands the rehoused lens upright in a contoured well with rear-cap clearance, plus a fitted pocket for the front cap and any shim packs or paperwork that travel with the lens.Vintage Astro Berlin glass has a distinctive 1930s character — soft, low-contrast, with beautiful imperfect rendering. Zero Optik rehouses these rare lenses into modern cine barrels with PL mounts, modern focus throws, and consistent front diameters, but the lens itself is irreplaceable — the foam supports the rehoused barrel across multiple contact points to protect the original glass.Designed and foamed in North Hollywood by Innerspace Cases.
