A 28-space control rack case built for the console or workstation stack that has to roll onto a truck, up a dock plate and into a control room and be working ten minutes later — video routers and switchers, audio consoles, playback servers, lighting control, RF distribution — with the operator surface staying in the case. It is sized and hardwared for the touring abuse pattern, not for a one-time freight move.
The interior is a reinforced 28 RU enclosure, 36″ rail to rail, carried on rubber shock-absorbing hardware with a reinforced interior angle, so the rails take the road instead of the equipment. Two removable lids give front and rear access: a 3.5″-deep lid and a 4.5″-deep lid that carries its own table legs, so one lid becomes the work surface at the position. Side sliding panels above the handles open the rack from both sides without lifting a lid — patching and power checks happen with the case still closed up.
The shell is 1/2″ ZyPly plywood in black with large nickel hardware, recessed handles and recessed latches. It rides on a casterboard with 6″ blue poly casters rated for a 1,000 lb load, two with brakes, so a fully loaded rack is a one-person push on the flat and stays put on a ramp.
Outside dimensions 23.5″ × 49″ × 55″ including lids. Fixed shipping $250. Built to order in North Hollywood, CA. A different RU count, a deeper rail-to-rail, a keyboard drawer or a matching second rack in the same shell are quote items — request a spec.

Will this fit my setup?
Tell us what you’re protecting and everything that travels with it. We check it against this build’s foam layout and reply with either a confirmation or the change we’d make. No obligation, and it goes to the people who cut the foam.
Got it — we’re checking your package.
We have your configuration and the exact build you were looking at. You’ll hear back with a fit confirmation or the modification we’d recommend.
My setup is different
Different body, extra accessories, an accessory that has to stay mounted, or dimensions that don’t exist yet. We modify an existing design or engineer a new one.
I need several
Repeatable foam layouts, consistent hardware, replacement foam and reorders against the same drawing. Standard practice for rental houses and studio fleets.
