Custom ATA case configured for a replacement Lightbridge CRLS 100 reflector. The CRLS panels are precision-machined optical mirrors used to shape sun and HMI sources into directable beams - the foam well captures the panel at its protective edge frame so the reflective surface is never touched in transit. A soft microfiber-lined overlay sits between the lid foam and the panel face.
The case is sized to the standard CRLS 100 footprint with relief for the mounting yoke and the leveling hardware on the reverse side. ATA 300 Category 1 plywood + ABS laminate shell, steel ball corners, recessed butterfly latches, edge-mounted spring handles, full aluminum extrusion edging - the right ship-and-bill shape for an optical surface that does not tolerate the kind of mishandling a generic flight case allows.
