Custom ATA shipping case for the Vinten HDT-2 two-stage tripod paired with a Vector 430 fluid head. CNC-cut foam captures the collapsed tripod legs in a single well with the head seated on its mitchell mount in a separate cavity so the head's drag and counterbalance controls are not under load during transport.
The case has separate compartments for the pan bars, spreader, and tripod feet. Foam is dense enough to hold the head in place under the lid latch but is relieved at the leveling bowl and control knobs so nothing rubs the finish. ATA 300 Category I shell built on a wheeled chassis with recessed latches.
