An ARRI WCU-4 package is a focus puller's livelihood — hand unit, motors, MDR, and cabling — and every piece has to arrive together and paired. This case protects the kit for a fraction of its value.
CNC-cut foam holds the WCU-4 hand unit face-protected with the focus wheel and display clear of contact, and gives the motors, the MDR, the antennas, and the cabling each their own fitted well. That count-at-a-glance layout is the whole point on a wireless focus kit: an AC sees at a glance whether every motor, cable and antenna made it back before the case is signed in, because a WCU-4 missing one motor is a WCU-4 that can't work in the morning.
An ATA-grade case is also what makes a freight claim winnable — carriers deny damage claims on self-packed equipment, while an ATA case makes the shipment insurable and the claim defensible. Fit & shipping FAQ
What fits inside?
As built, the WCU-4 hand unit face-protected in a contoured pocket plus fitted wells for the motors, MDR, antennas, cabling, and marking discs.
Can the foam be cut for my exact WCU-4 kit?
Yes — every case is built to order, so the wells follow your setup. Two motors or three, a specific MDR, extra discs, a monitor bracket: tell us the loadout on the quote and we CNC-cut to it.
Is the hand unit's display protected?
The hand unit seats face-protected against soft, low-abrasion polyethylene with the focus wheel and display relieved, suspended away from the case walls so impact loads never reach the screen.
Can it hold the WCU-4 with a monitor attached?
Yes — we build a version cut for the hand unit with a SmallHD 702 or similar mounted, so the rig doesn't have to be broken down between setups.
What's the lead time, and can you rush it?
Every case is built to order and ships in about 14–21 business days. Rush production is available as a premium by quote when a deadline is tight — tell us your date and we'll price it.
Outfitting a rental inventory or a multi-camera package? We build these as standardized, re-orderable cases with optional engraved IDs. Request a quote or contact the shop at 818-767-3030.

Will this fit my setup?
Tell us what you’re protecting and everything that travels with it. We check it against this build’s foam layout and reply with either a confirmation or the change we’d make. No obligation, and it goes to the people who cut the foam.
Got it — we’re checking your package.
We have your configuration and the exact build you were looking at. You’ll hear back with a fit confirmation or the modification we’d recommend.
My setup is different
Different body, extra accessories, an accessory that has to stay mounted, or dimensions that don’t exist yet. We modify an existing design or engineer a new one.
I need several
Repeatable foam layouts, consistent hardware, replacement foam and reorders against the same drawing. Standard practice for rental houses and studio fleets.
