The URSA Cine Immersive is Blackmagic’s stereoscopic body built for Apple Immersive Video — a fixed dual-lens system shooting 8K per eye. The optics are the camera, permanently mounted and factory-calibrated, which changes what a case has to do: you cannot pull the glass off to pack it, and a knock to the lens block is not a lens swap, it is a trip back to Blackmagic.

This is a custom ATA flight case cut around that reality. The body sits in CNC foam that carries it on its own mass distribution rather than loading the lens block, with dedicated space for rods and the dovetail, plus additional storage for the rest of the accessory kit.

Riveted ATA 300 Category I construction with recessed latches and hardware, rated for repeated air and truck shipping — which is also what makes a freight claim winnable if a carrier does drop it. Built to order and foamed in North Hollywood.

Fit & shipping FAQ

Does the foam load against the lens block?

No — the well is cut so the body is carried on its chassis, not on the optics. On a fixed dual-lens camera that distinction matters, because the lens block is not a serviceable swap.

What travels with the camera?

Dedicated space for rods and the dovetail, plus additional accessory storage. Add a specific item — media, batteries, a mount — to your quote and we cut a pocket for it.

Can I ship it built up?

Tell us the configuration you run on the quote and we cut the foam to it rather than to a bare body.

What’s the lead time, and can you rush it?

Every case is built to order and ships in about 14–21 business days. Rush production is available as a premium by quote when a deadline is tight — tell us your date and we’ll price it.

Do you build these for a fleet?

Yes. Outfitting a rental inventory or a multi-camera package is our specialty — standardized, re-orderable builds with optional engraved IDs.

Different accessory load-out or a matched pair for a stereo package? Tell us what you run and we cut the foam to match. Call 818-767-3030 — same business day, Mon–Fri, 8AM–5PM PT.

Will this fit my setup?

Tell us what you’re protecting and everything that travels with it. We check it against this build’s foam layout and reply with either a confirmation or the change we’d make. No obligation, and it goes to the people who cut the foam.

We reply with a real answer, usually same business day.

My setup is different

Different body, extra accessories, an accessory that has to stay mounted, or dimensions that don’t exist yet. We modify an existing design or engineer a new one.

I need several

Repeatable foam layouts, consistent hardware, replacement foam and reorders against the same drawing. Standard practice for rental houses and studio fleets.
