The Sony Rialto is what makes the VENICE system unique — a tethered extension that separates the sensor block from the camera body for gimbals, drones, and tight-quarters rigs. This custom case protects that detachable sensor block, the delicate link in a VENICE package, in a CNC-cut foam cradle with separate fitted wells for the extension cable, mounting hardware, and accessories.
The Rialto rides with the camera on any VENICE or VENICE 2 job that needs the sensor off the body, so it travels constantly and gets handled hard. Each component seats in its own well, so an open-case glance confirms the extension kit is complete before load-in — count-at-a-glance check-in and check-out for camera assistants and rental desks. The extension cable, the fragile part, gets its own protected coil well.
An ATA-grade case is also what makes a freight claim winnable — carriers deny damage claims on self-packed electronics. Built to order and foamed in North Hollywood by Innerspace Cases; compatible with both VENICE and VENICE 2 Rialto systems. Does it fit both VENICE and VENICE 2 Rialto systems?
Yes — the case is compatible with the Rialto extension for both VENICE and VENICE 2, holding the detachable sensor block, extension cable, and mounting hardware. Tell us your configuration on the quote.
Is the extension cable protected?
The extension cable is the fragile link that lets the sensor block separate from the body, so it gets its own protected coil well away from the sensor block — nothing crushes or kinks it in transit.
Is the body and mount protected in transit?
The body seats in a contoured foam cradle with the lens mount recessed so the flange isn't loaded, connectors framed clear, and the camera held below the lid line — inside an ATA-rated shell built for road and air freight.
Can it fly as carry-on or check as baggage?
It's built to ATA 300 Category I and sized to the Rialto kit; a Pelican 1610 option is available for a carry-on-friendly footprint. Tell us how it travels and we'll spec the shell.
