Angenieux Optimo DP 30-80 T2.8 & Angenieux Optimo DP 16-42 T2.8 Lens Case

The Angenieux Optimo DP 16-42 and 30-80 are a workhorse zoom pair on documentary and commercial sets — they cover wide to long without a lens swap. The problem: most off-the-shelf zoom cases force you to ship them in two separate cases, which doubles the volume on every flight.

This case carries both zooms in one shell. The CNC-cut foam interior profiles each lens to its exact body shape including the focus and zoom rings, so the optical block is supported along its full length rather than pressed on the lens mount or the front element. Cutouts include space for the standard front rod brackets that ship with the DP series.

Built to ATA 300 Category 1 with recessed ball-corner latches, pressure-equalization valve, and a soft-grip handle sized for two-handed lifts. The closed-cell polyethylene foam holds its shape through hundreds of lens insertion cycles — important for high-value glass that needs to stay in its cutout, not float in foam debris.
