The ARRI Orbiter is a hard-source LED built around swappable optics — Open Face, Fresnel, Dome, Projection — which means the fixture is only half the kit. This case protects the head and the optic chain for a fraction of what the system is worth.
CNC-cut foam holds the fixture head in a contoured pocket with the diffuser face protected and the yoke clear, and gives the AC power supply, the DC cabling, the mounting hardware and each beam-shaping accessory their own fitted well. That count-at-a-glance layout is what makes an Orbiter package workable: a gaffer sees at a glance whether every optic came back before the case is signed in, because an Orbiter that arrives without its Fresnel optic is not the light anyone ordered.
An ATA-grade case is also what makes a freight claim winnable — carriers deny damage claims on self-packed equipment, while an ATA case makes the shipment insurable and the claim defensible. What fits inside?

Can it carry all the optics, or do I need a second case?
Both are standard. We build a single case that takes the head plus the optic set, and we also build a dedicated Orbiter accessory case when the optics travel separately from the head. Tell us how the package moves.
Are the optics protected from each other?
Yes — each optic gets its own relieved well rather than stacking, so glass and diffusion never contact another optic or the fixture body.
Will it survive a grip truck and a wet location?
That's what it's built for. The head rides on the cast body at multiple contact points, with the diffuser face relieved. The shell seals against weather and road dust, the corners take the stacking loads, and recessed hardware means nothing snags when it's slid in beside the rest of the package.
What's the lead time, and can you rush it?
Every case is built to order and ships in about 14–21 business days. Rush production is available as a premium by quote when a deadline is tight — tell us your date and we'll price it.
