The Zacuto Smart Z-Finder is a precision optical viewfinder for DSLR and mirrorless cinema — an EVF replacement that's been a fixture on indie and run-and-gun shoots since DSLR video became viable. The Z-Finder optical elements and the mounting hardware don't tolerate generic case treatment. The CNC-cut foam interior cradles the Z-Finder with the eyecup protected and the lens elements held in dedicated cutouts. The mounting clamp sits in a separate cutout that prevents it from compressing against the optical assembly. Accessory cutouts hold the included anti-fog cleaning kit and the rear diopter.Shell is IP67 watertight and crushproof with recessed ball-corner latches, pressure-equalization valve, and a soft-grip carry handle. Closed-cell polyethylene foam CNC-cut to the Z-Finder dimensions.Built in our North Hollywood workshop. Lead time 14–21 business days. For matched cases with additional Zacuto accessories or a paired EVF case, call 818-767-3030.

Will this fit my setup?
Tell us what you’re protecting and everything that travels with it. We check it against this build’s foam layout and reply with either a confirmation or the change we’d make. No obligation, and it goes to the people who cut the foam.
Got it — we’re checking your package.
We have your configuration and the exact build you were looking at. You’ll hear back with a fit confirmation or the modification we’d recommend.
My setup is different
Different body, extra accessories, an accessory that has to stay mounted, or dimensions that don’t exist yet. We modify an existing design or engineer a new one.
I need several
Repeatable foam layouts, consistent hardware, replacement foam and reorders against the same drawing. Standard practice for rental houses and studio fleets.
