Specialty, Rack, & Gig-Rig Cases

Not every cinema kit fits neatly into a category. Specialty cases cover the work that doesn't — multi-rack pack-outs for playback and DIT carts, lighting and stage rigging cases for tours and broadcast, specialty mounts and protective transport for unique-form-factor gear, plus the in-between custom builds that rental houses and production designers spec when off-the-shelf cases don't fit the brief.

Innerspace builds across the specialty range: 1U-through-24U+ rack cases with fixed-rail and shock-mount interiors for video village, DIT, audio, and playback workflows; rolling roto-molded Mil-Spec cases for heavy outdoor and harsh-environment use; large-format flight cases with custom interiors for cart-mounted gear; lighting and grip transport for stage and tour production; specialty cases for radio, comms, and tactical gear (PRC-152 and similar radio formats); plus custom platters, reel-storage cases, and large-format archival shipping for film prints and archival materials.

Shell construction for specialty work runs from the Roto Mil-Std waterproof case family in standard depths (4", 5", 7"), through Hardigg-format military cases, into the full custom ATA 300 build with riveted aluminum extrusion, recessed twist latches, tongue-and-groove lid construction, and the rigging hardware needed for repeated airline and freight handling.

Rack interiors are the most-requested specialty build — the rack format determines what gets shipped (server hardware, playback decks, audio interfaces, DIT storage, network switches, broadcast routing), and the case has to match the rack unit count plus the equipment depth, with shock-isolation when the gear is sensitive.
