The Apple Studio Display is a $1,599 panel of 5K glass and finished aluminum — and there is no off-the-shelf way to move it safely. Apple doesn’t make a case for it, and the retail box is one-trip cardboard built to survive a single delivery. This is the case for transporting your Studio Display: a built-to-order ATA 300 Category I hard case that protects the display and its accessories, trip after trip, instead of riding loose in the back seat. Foam is cut to the 2026 (Thunderbolt 5) or 2022 (Thunderbolt 3) display, the stand you pick, and the glass you pick.
Inside, CNC-cut foam holds the 27″ display face-in on a contoured pad, with the stand nested behind it and separate fitted wells for the power adapter, the Thunderbolt cable, and an iPad. The panel is suspended away from the case walls so impact loads never reach the glass or the chassis. One case carries the complete display kit — each piece in its own pocket, not padding wrapped around a box. Need the Studio Display XDR instead? That display is deeper on its height-adjustable stand and has its own named case: the Studio Display XDR transport case.

It isn’t only a set tool. Design studios, agencies, post houses, and offices moving or shipping a Studio Display between locations use the same case to relocate a display without trusting it to bubble wrap and a moving crew. Whether it’s headed to a shoot, a client site, or a new floor, the display arrives ready to plug in. Built to order in North Hollywood by Innerspace Cases to ATA 300 Category I.
Fit & shipping FAQ
Which Studio Display stand or mount does the foam fit?
Whichever one you select above. The default build is contoured for the 27-inch Studio Display on the tilt-adjustable stand, with a fitted well for the power adapter and Thunderbolt cable plus space for an iPad. Displays on the tilt- and height-adjustable stand sit deeper and have a different rear profile; VESA mount adapter units travel flat with the plate in its own pocket. Pick the stand at checkout and the foam is cut to match — one 27-inch cavity is not universal.
2026 or 2022 Studio Display — does it matter?
The panel and stands are the same 27-inch family, so the display cavity is the same. The 2026 display is Thunderbolt 5 and the 2022 display is Thunderbolt 3, with a different cable and power brick, so the accessory wells change. Select your generation above and we cut the wells to the right brick and cable.
Is nano-texture glass safe against the foam?
Select nano-texture glass above and the face pad gets a brushed screen-interface liner instead of bare polyethylene, so the etched surface never touches the foam directly. The exterior case, dimensions, and price do not change. Keeping Apple’s polishing cloth over the panel adds a second barrier for repeated shipping.
What accessories get their own pockets?
Separate CNC-cut wells hold the power adapter and AC lead, the Thunderbolt cable, and an iPad, so the whole display kit travels in one case instead of loose in a bag. Need room for a specific dongle, KVM, or color probe? Add it to your quote and we’ll cut a pocket for it.
Can it check as airline baggage or ship by courier?
The shell is built to ATA 300 Category I for checked air travel and courier or freight. At about 63 inches of linear dimension it sits just over the typical 62-inch checked-bag limit, so most clients fly it as oversized checked baggage or send it by courier — either way the case is rated for the handling.
What’s the lead time, and can you rush it?
Every case is built to order and ships in about 14–21 business days. Rush production is available as a premium by quote when a deadline is tight — tell us your date and we’ll price it.
Do you build these for multiple displays or a fleet?
Yes. Outfitting several edit bays, a rental inventory, or a multi-office rollout is our specialty — standardized, re-orderable builds with optional engraved IDs. For four displays in one rolling case see the four-unit Studio Display case. Request a fleet quote and we’ll spec the run.

Build & shipping
Will this fit my setup?
Tell us what you’re protecting and everything that travels with it. We check it against this build’s foam layout and reply with either a confirmation or the change we’d make. No obligation, and it goes to the people who cut the foam.
Got it — we’re checking your package.
We have your configuration and the exact build you were looking at. You’ll hear back with a fit confirmation or the modification we’d recommend.
My setup is different
Different body, extra accessories, an accessory that has to stay mounted, or dimensions that don’t exist yet. We modify an existing design or engineer a new one.
I need several
Repeatable foam layouts, consistent hardware, replacement foam and reorders against the same drawing. Standard practice for rental houses and studio fleets.
