A finishing-room setup — Studio Display or Studio Display XDR, Mac Studio, Magic Keyboard with Numeric Keypad, Magic Mouse, Magic Trackpad — is $5,000 to $20,000 of glass, aluminum, and silicon, and today most of it moves in the retail box and a backpack. Apple does not sell a case for this kit and no stock case fits the combination. This is the one case that carries the complete setup: each piece in its own CNC-cut foam well, the display face-in, the computer in a cavity it never shares with the panel, rolling on recessed wheels. It is a transport case, not a place to work out of; it exists to get a finishing bay from one room, set, or building to the next and back, intact.

Pick your display above. The foam is cut to the Studio Display (2026, Thunderbolt 5, from $1,599), the 2022 Studio Display (Thunderbolt 3), or the Studio Display XDR (from $3,299), on the stand you select — the XDR on its tilt- and height-adjustable stand is 8.4″ deep and 18.7 lb, so its cavity is not the Studio Display cavity. The Mac Studio well fits every chassis from 2022 through 2026, M1 Ultra through M5 Max and M5 Ultra. The box did not change; the chip did. Nano-texture glass adds a brushed screen-interface liner on the face pad. Carpet- and velvet-lined throughout.

What fits inside

  • Apple Studio Display or Studio Display XDR, 27″, face-in, on the selected stand (tilt, tilt- and height-adjustable, or VESA mount adapter)
  • Apple Mac Studio, any chip 2022–2026 — own fitted well, with a 7″ × 5.75″ × 3.75″ accessory space beneath it
  • Apple Magic Keyboard with Numeric Keypad, Magic Mouse, and Magic Trackpad — each in its own pocket
  • Accessory space, front left: 4″ × 9″ × 18″ — power bricks, Thunderbolt cables, dongles
  • Accessory space, back of case: 27″ × 18″ × 2.5″

Rental houses fleet this case to send a grading bay out with a DIT cart. Post houses use it to move a finishing suite between buildings. Agencies and color shops ship a calibrated display and its Mac to a client site and get it back in the same case. Standardized and re-orderable, with engraved IDs on request, so ten kits land with ten identical layouts. Built to order in North Hollywood by Innerspace Cases to ATA 300 Category I.

Fit & shipping FAQ

What exactly fits inside?

One case carries the 27-inch Studio Display or Studio Display XDR, the Mac Studio, the Magic Keyboard with Numeric Keypad, the Magic Mouse, and the Magic Trackpad, each in its own CNC-cut foam well, plus three labeled accessory spaces for power bricks, Thunderbolt cables, and dongles. If your kit has an extra item — a color probe, a dock, a drive — tell us on the quote and we cut a pocket for it.

Studio Display or Studio Display XDR — is it the same foam?

No. The XDR on its tilt- and height-adjustable stand is 8.4″ deep and 18.7 lb; a 2026 Studio Display on the tilt stand is closer to 6.6″. Select the display and stand above and the display cavity is cut to that combination. The Mac Studio and accessory wells are the same in both builds.

Which Mac Studio does it fit?

All of them. The Mac Studio chassis has not changed from the 2022 M1 Ultra through the 2026 M5 Max and M5 Ultra, so one well fits every model. Running a Mac mini instead? Say so on the quote and we cut the well to the smaller chassis.

Is the Mac Studio protected separately from the display?

Yes. The Mac Studio drops into its own fitted well, isolated from the display, with a dedicated 7″ × 5.75″ × 3.75″ accessory space beneath it. Nothing rests against the screen, and the computer never shares a cavity with the glass.

Can it check as airline baggage or ship by courier?

The shell is built to ATA 300 Category I for checked air travel and courier or freight, and it rolls on recessed wheels. At about 64 inches of linear dimension it exceeds the typical 62-inch checked-bag limit, so most clients fly it as oversized checked baggage or send it by courier — the case is rated for the handling either way.

What’s the lead time, and can you rush it?

Every case is built to order and ships in about 14–21 business days. Rush production is available as a premium by quote when a deadline is tight — tell us your date and we’ll price it.

Do you build these for multiple setups or a fleet?

Yes. Outfitting several edit bays, a rental inventory, or a multi-office rollout is our specialty — standardized, re-orderable builds with optional engraved IDs. Request a fleet quote and we’ll spec the run.

Outfitting multiple edit bays, a rental inventory, or a multi-office rollout? We build these as standardized, re-orderable fleets with optional engraved IDs. Request a fleet quote or contact the shop.

Just moving the display? See the Studio Display XDR transport case or the Studio Display 27-inch transport case. Just the computer? See the Mac Studio travel case. Older 32-inch panel? Pro Display XDR (legacy). Everything Apple we build for is on /fits/apple/.

Will this fit my setup?

Tell us what you’re protecting and everything that travels with it. We check it against this build’s foam layout and reply with either a confirmation or the change we’d make. No obligation, and it goes to the people who cut the foam.

We reply with a real answer, usually same business day.

My setup is different

Different body, extra accessories, an accessory that has to stay mounted, or dimensions that don’t exist yet. We modify an existing design or engineer a new one.

I need several

Repeatable foam layouts, consistent hardware, replacement foam and reorders against the same drawing. Standard practice for rental houses and studio fleets.
