Custom Foam insert to hold Steadicam with Volt attached

A custom CNC-cut foam insert for a Steadicam rig with the Tiffen Volt stabilization upgrade installed — the electronic horizon-control system Tiffen builds to bolt onto the existing gimbal hardware of a Steadicam rig. The foam interior handles the rig as a unit (the Volt-equipped head, the post, the arm, the vest, the operator's monitor, the supplied batteries, and the Volt electronics module each get their own contoured well) so the operator doesn't disassemble the Volt for transit between locations.Insert is sized to drop into a Pelican-class rolling shell with retractable handle, two-wheel cart roll, automatic pressure-equalization valve, recessed dish latches, and stainless hardware. Adjacent wells for the spirit level, the docking bracket, the supplied tools, and the operator's level pin. Closed-cell foam doesn't shed into the gimbal mechanism or onto the Volt electronics.Designed and CNC-cut in our North Hollywood, CA workshop.
