A Pelican 1637 custom-foamed as a 2RU fly rack for rack-mount production gear. The interior is fitted with rack rails sized to standard 19" 2U equipment plus CNC-cut foam panels surrounding the rack to absorb shock and prevent the gear from rattling in transit.
2RU fly racks are the right form factor for compact rack-mount production gear — distribution amplifiers, video processors, audio interfaces, network switches, fiber converters. The 1637 shell with wheels and a pull handle makes the rack manageable solo between trucks, stages, and remote venues.
