Pelican 1637 Air case fitted with an integrated custom 4RU 19-inch rack at 15.5 inches of internal depth. The rack mounts inside the shell on shock-absorbing isolators with stamped-and-anodized 19-inch rails to standard rack-unit spacing. The 4RU height handles a typical video-village stack - matrix switcher, wireless TX/RX pair, intercom base station, and patch panel - or a sound-cart drop-in for a recorder, mic preamp, and wireless RX bank.
The 1637 Air is the right shape for a portable rack pack-out - wheeled, HPX2 resin (lighter than equivalent Protector), watertight O-ring, automatic pressure-equalization valve, and an extending tow handle. Front and rear access is preserved at the rack rails. The case ships as a roll-up-and-patch unit.
Foam designed and CNC-cut at Innerspace Cases in North Hollywood. Call 818-767-3030 to spec deeper RU depth, a different RU count, or to add a slide-out keyboard drawer.

Will this fit my setup?
Tell us what you’re protecting and everything that travels with it. We check it against this build’s foam layout and reply with either a confirmation or the change we’d make. No obligation, and it goes to the people who cut the foam.
Got it — we’re checking your package.
We have your configuration and the exact build you were looking at. You’ll hear back with a fit confirmation or the modification we’d recommend.
My setup is different
Different body, extra accessories, an accessory that has to stay mounted, or dimensions that don’t exist yet. We modify an existing design or engineer a new one.
I need several
Repeatable foam layouts, consistent hardware, replacement foam and reorders against the same drawing. Standard practice for rental houses and studio fleets.
