This is the big-inventory Bolero case: a built-to-order Pelican 1620 configured to carry 15 beltpacks, 2 chargers, headsets, and accessories in one ATA-rated shell. At roughly $2,000 a beltpack, that’s about $30,000 of intercom packs riding in a single case — the kind of count a stadium comms position, a large broadcast truck, or a rental house moves at once. CNC-cut foam gives every beltpack its own contoured well, with fitted trays for the two chargers, the headsets, and the accessory pack.

Fifteen beltpacks in one case only works if you can account for them fast, and that’s what the count-at-a-glance foam delivers: a rental desk or broadcast engineer sees at a glance whether all 15 packs, both chargers, and the headsets came back from the show before the case is signed back in. Nothing walks off set unnoticed, and nothing rides loose. The beltpack screens seat face-protected, connectors sit recessed, and the Pelican shell brings the crushproof, watertight protection a five-figure pack-out earns.

The Pelican 1620 is an ATA-grade shell with recessed latches, a watertight gasket, and an automatic pressure-equalization valve; the custom foam is designed and CNC-cut in North Hollywood by Innerspace Cases. The freight math is simple — carriers deny damage claims on self-packed electronics, and an ATA case makes a $30,000 shipment insurable and the claim defensible. Different beltpack count, added accessories, or a fleet of matching cases? Tell us your gear and we spec it.

Fit & shipping FAQ

What fits inside?

As built, the foam carries 15 Riedel Bolero beltpacks, 2 chargers, headsets, and an accessory pack — each beltpack in its own contoured well with fitted trays for the chargers and headsets. It’s a high-count inventory case for a stadium position, a large truck, or a rental pool.

Can the foam be cut for a different beltpack count?

Yes — the case is built to order. Fifteen is this build’s layout, but we cut the well count to whatever you run, up or down, and add or drop charger and accessory trays to match. Send your loadout on the quote and we CNC-cut the foam to it.

How do you keep 15 beltpacks accounted for?

The count-at-a-glance layout: every beltpack has a dedicated, labeled well, so an open-case check instantly shows whether all 15 packs and both chargers made it back — the inventory discipline rental houses and broadcast ops depend on.

Can it check as airline baggage or ship by courier?

The Pelican 1620 is rated for checked air travel, courier, and freight. Loaded with 15 beltpacks it’s heavy, so most crews move it as oversized checked baggage or freight — the shell is built for the handling either way.

What’s the lead time, and can you rush it?

Every case is built to order and ships in about 14–21 business days. Rush production is available as a premium by quote when a deadline is tight — tell us your air date and we’ll price it.

Do you build these for a full fleet or multiple kits?

Yes — that’s our specialty. Bolero deployments run from a handful of beltpacks to fleets of a hundred across broadcast trucks, stadiums, rental inventory, and houses of worship. We build matching, re-orderable cases with optional engraved IDs and price multi-case runs by quote. Send your loadout and unit count and we’ll spec the run.

Moving a stadium or arena comms inventory, or a rental pool? We build Bolero comms cases as standardized, re-orderable fleets with optional engraved IDs. Request a fleet quote or contact the shop at 818-767-3030.

A comms department rarely ships just one case — the 6-beltpack kit case with antenna & charger · the 10-beltpack communications case · the 5-beltpack Pelican Air 1615 case · the laptop & tech-station case.

Will this fit my setup?

Tell us what you’re protecting and everything that travels with it. We check it against this build’s foam layout and reply with either a confirmation or the change we’d make. No obligation, and it goes to the people who cut the foam.

We reply with a real answer, usually same business day.

My setup is different

Different body, extra accessories, an accessory that has to stay mounted, or dimensions that don’t exist yet. We modify an existing design or engineer a new one.

I need several

Repeatable foam layouts, consistent hardware, replacement foam and reorders against the same drawing. Standard practice for rental houses and studio fleets.
