A single Riedel Bolero beltpack runs about $2,000, and the headset, charger, and cabling that travel with it push a working comms position well past that. This is the case that protects the whole position in transit and in rental circulation: a built-to-order hard case with CNC-cut foam that carries the Bolero 6-key beltpack, its headset, and the beltpack charger / docking station each in its own contoured well — not padding wrapped around loose gear.
The Bolero is a high-end wireless intercom platform used heavily on broadcast, live-event, and major production work — multi-channel and encrypted, with the 6-key beltpacks running up to six intercom channels per pack. Inside this case, foam separation keeps each beltpack screen face-protected, holds the headset on its yoke so the ear cushions and mic boom never take a load, and cradles the charger and AC cabling in fitted pockets. Every well is cut to a specific piece, so a glance at the open case tells you instantly whether anything is missing before the truck rolls — the count-at-a-glance layout that makes check-in and check-out fast for rental houses and broadcast ops.
It matters most in freight. Carriers routinely deny damage claims on self-packed electronics that ship in a soft bag or a repurposed box; an ATA 300 case makes the shipment insurable and the claim defensible. Built to order and foamed in North Hollywood by Innerspace Cases, the foam is cut to your exact loadout — tell us your beltpack count and whether you run headsets or a charging dock, and we cut the wells to match.

Fit & shipping FAQ
What exactly fits inside?
As built, the foam carries a Riedel Bolero 6-key beltpack, its headset, and the beltpack charger / docking station with AC cabling, each in a contoured well. It’s a per-position case — a beltpack, the headset it pairs with, and the charge point that keeps it live. Need more beltpacks or a multi-bay dock in one shell? We size the foam to your count.
Can the foam be cut for a different beltpack count?
Yes. Every case is built to order, so the well layout is cut to the exact number of beltpacks, headsets, and chargers you run. Tell us your kit on the quote and we CNC-cut the foam to match — no generic trays.
Will it protect the beltpack screens and headset in transit?
That’s the point of separate wells: each beltpack seats face-protected so nothing presses the OLED, the headset rides on its yoke away from the ear cushions and mic boom, and lid foam adds shock protection above the faces. Connectors sit recessed so they never take an impact.
Can it check as airline baggage or ship by courier?
The Pelican Air 1637 shell is rated for checked air travel, courier, and freight. Its linear dimension sits right around the typical 62-inch checked-bag limit, so most crews fly it as standard or slightly oversized checked baggage — either way the case is built for the handling.
What’s the lead time, and can you rush it?
Every case is built to order and ships in about 14–21 business days. Rush production is available as a premium by quote when a deadline is tight — tell us your air date and we’ll price it.
Do you build these for a full fleet or multiple kits?
Yes — that’s our specialty. Bolero deployments run from a handful of beltpacks to fleets of a hundred across broadcast trucks, stadiums, rental inventory, and houses of worship. We build matching, re-orderable cases with optional engraved IDs and price multi-case runs by quote. Send your loadout and unit count and we’ll spec the run.
Outfitting a broadcast truck, a stadium comms position, or a rental inventory? We build Bolero comms cases as standardized, re-orderable fleets with optional engraved IDs. Request a fleet quote or contact the shop at 818-767-3030.
A comms department rarely ships just one case — the full Bolero intercom kit case · the laptop & tech-station case · the drop-in Pelican 1637 foam insert.
