One case, the complete Riedel Bolero S1 wireless intercom deployment. A loaded Bolero kit — a six-pack of beltpacks, the standalone antenna, the multi-bay charger, and the spares that keep it running — is $20,000–$40,000 of comms gear, and this ATA case carries all of it as a single ship-and-bill unit built to order in North Hollywood. The pack-out covers beltpacks with their belt clips, Lemo headset connectors, and integrated antennas; an antenna well for the standalone Bolero antenna with its N-type connector; a charger tray for the multi-bay charging dock; and an AKS bay for spare batteries, headsets, and patch cables.

Every well is foam-contoured to the device with relief at the connector positions, so the kit can be patched and powered on inside the case for a soundcheck without unpacking. That layout does double duty as inventory control: a glance at the open case tells a rental desk or broadcast engineer instantly whether all six beltpacks, the antenna, the charger, and the AKS bay are present before load-in — nothing walks off set unnoticed. This is how working broadcast crews and rental houses move a wireless intercom rig, not a pile of pouches in a road trunk.

The shell is a plywood-and-ABS laminate ATA 300 Category I build with steel ball corners, recessed butterfly latches, edge-mounted spring handles, and full aluminum extrusion edging — sized so a six-pack of beltpacks plus a single antenna, charger, and AKS bay rides as one unit. It also makes freight claims winnable: carriers deny damage claims on self-packed electronics, and an ATA-grade case makes the shipment insurable. Designed and CNC-cut at Innerspace Cases in North Hollywood; tell us your beltpack count, a second antenna, or a sound-cart drawer and we build to it.

Fit & shipping FAQ

What’s in a complete kit case?

As configured: a six-pack of Bolero beltpacks with belt clips and Lemo headset connectors, the standalone Bolero antenna with its N-type connector, the multi-bay charging dock, and an AKS bay for spare batteries, headsets, and patch cables — the whole S1 deployment in one shell.

Can I run a soundcheck without unpacking?

Yes. Each well is contoured with relief at the connector positions, so the kit can be patched and powered on inside the open case — useful for a fast soundcheck at load-in without pulling everything out.

Can the foam be cut for a different beltpack count or a second antenna?

Absolutely — the case is built to order. Tell us the beltpack count, whether you carry one antenna or two, and any extra chargers or AKS gear, and we CNC-cut the layout to your exact deployment. We can also pair it with a sound-cart drawer.

Can it check as airline baggage or ship by freight?

It’s built to ATA 300 Category I for checked air travel, courier, and freight. A fully loaded intercom kit is heavy, so most crews move it as oversized checked baggage or palletized freight — the case is rated for the handling either way.

What’s the lead time, and can you rush it?

Every case is built to order and ships in about 14–21 business days. Rush production is available as a premium by quote when a deadline is tight — tell us your air date and we’ll price it.

Do you build these for a full fleet or multiple kits?

Yes — that’s our specialty. Bolero deployments run from a handful of beltpacks to fleets of a hundred across broadcast trucks, stadiums, rental inventory, and houses of worship. We build matching, re-orderable cases with optional engraved IDs and price multi-case runs by quote. Send your loadout and unit count and we’ll spec the run.

Standing up comms across multiple trucks, venues, or a rental fleet? We build Bolero comms cases as standardized, re-orderable fleets with optional engraved IDs. Request a fleet quote or contact the shop at 818-767-3030.

A comms department rarely ships just one case — the 15-beltpack kit case · the 10-beltpack communications case · the laptop & tech-station case · the MAX-D2 headset case.
