The full house comms pack-out in one Storm iM2975: a built-to-order case with custom foam and tray configured to carry 10 Bolero beltpacks, 2 chargers, 2 antennas, 10 headsets (five MAX high-noise units and five lightweight), and the NSA-2 interface. That’s the comms backbone of a broadcast truck or a large live event — well over $30,000 of gear — riding as a single ship-and-bill unit instead of scattered across half a dozen bags.

A pack-out this dense lives or dies on accountability, and the count-at-a-glance foam is built for it: every beltpack, both antennas, both chargers, all ten headsets, and the NSA-2 interface have dedicated, contoured wells, so a rental desk or A2 can confirm the entire rig is present in one look before load-in or sign-back. The MAX headsets and the lightweight headsets each get their own fitted pockets, the beltpacks seat face-protected, and the antennas ride in relieved wells so their connectors never take a hit.

The Storm iM2975 shell is a crushproof, watertight ATA-grade case with press-and-pull latches and an automatic purge valve; the custom foam and tray are designed and CNC-cut in North Hollywood by Innerspace Cases. As with any five-figure shipment, an ATA case is what makes a freight claim winnable when a carrier mishandles the load. Running a different headset mix, more beltpacks, or a second interface? Tell us the loadout and we cut the foam to it.

Fit & shipping FAQ

What’s in the case?

As configured: 10 Bolero beltpacks, 2 chargers, 2 antennas, 10 headsets (five MAX high-noise and five lightweight), and the NSA-2 interface — a complete house comms pack-out in a single Storm iM2975 shell, each item in its own foam well.

Can the layout be changed for a different loadout?

Yes — it’s built to order. The 10/2/2/10 configuration is this build; we re-cut the foam for a different beltpack count, headset mix, extra antennas, or a second interface. Send your exact loadout and we lay out the tray and wells to match.

How are the MAX and lightweight headsets protected?

Each headset type gets its own fitted pocket cut to its shape — the MAX double-ear high-noise units and the lightweight headsets don’t share a well — so cushions keep their shape and mic booms stay clear of the walls. Beltpacks seat face-protected and antennas ride in relieved wells.

Can it check as airline baggage or ship by freight?

The Storm iM2975 is built to IP67 watertight injection-molded shell for checked air travel, courier, and freight. At about 67 inches of linear dimension it’s over the typical 62-inch checked-bag limit, so most crews fly it as oversized checked baggage or move it as palletized freight — rated for the handling either way.

What’s the lead time, and can you rush it?

Every case is built to order and ships in about 14–21 business days. Rush production is available as a premium by quote when a deadline is tight — tell us your air date and we’ll price it.

Do you build these for a full fleet or multiple kits?

Yes — that’s our specialty. Bolero deployments run from a handful of beltpacks and headsets to fleets of a hundred across broadcast trucks, stadiums, rental inventory, and houses of worship. We build matching, re-orderable cases with optional engraved IDs and price multi-case runs by quote. Send your loadout and unit count and we’ll spec the run.

Building comms pack-outs for multiple trucks, venues, or a rental fleet? We build Bolero comms cases as standardized, re-orderable fleets with optional engraved IDs. Request a fleet quote or contact the shop at 818-767-3030.

A comms department rarely ships just one case — the 15-beltpack Pelican 1620 case · the 6-beltpack kit case · the dedicated MAX-D2 headset case · the laptop & tech-station case.

Will this fit my setup?

Tell us what you’re protecting and everything that travels with it. We check it against this build’s foam layout and reply with either a confirmation or the change we’d make. No obligation, and it goes to the people who cut the foam.

We reply with a real answer, usually same business day.

My setup is different

Different body, extra accessories, an accessory that has to stay mounted, or dimensions that don’t exist yet. We modify an existing design or engineer a new one.

I need several

Repeatable foam layouts, consistent hardware, replacement foam and reorders against the same drawing. Standard practice for rental houses and studio fleets.
