Universal Vertical is a case system built to a hole size, not to one lens set. Three sizes fit 49 lens series — in stock, shipping same day.
The reason to buy one is not that it is quick. A custom-cut case stays dedicated to that lens set, with maximum fit and organisation. Universal Vertical stays useful as your inventory changes. A case built to a hole size fits dozens of different lens series — so it survives a fleet change, holds its value on the shelf, and gets re-used instead of re-bought. Same-day shipping is the second reason, not the first.
The lens fit finder covers 93 cinema lens series. Type your lens, and it returns the hole size it needs and the exact case to buy — or tells you honestly when your glass belongs in a cut-to-fit or horizontal case instead.
Find your lens →| 3-1/2″ (89mm) | 14 lens series. Compact primes and smaller rehoused glass. Every assignment in this size is currently an estimate pending measurement. |
| 4-1/4″ (108mm) | 10 lens series, 2 confirmed against a cut file or a manufacturer figure. The middle of the modern prime market. |
| 5″ (127mm) | 25 lens series, 21 confirmed against a cut file or a manufacturer figure — the broadest coverage in the line. Cooke S4/i, S7/i, Panchro/i, ARRI Master Primes and more. |
Every case is 14 inches tall inside, which clears any prime up to 11-1/2 inches long. Foam is CNC-cut in North Hollywood: 2 inches to the wall, 1-1/2 between lenses, finger grips at 45 degrees on every hole, a 1-3/4 inch hard riser that cups the PL mount, soft circles to level a mixed set, and a 1-5/8 inch desiccant holder.
Every combination of hole size and lens count, priced and in stock. Rows are how many lenses you carry; columns are the hole size your lenses need.

Glass needing a hole larger than 5 inches — ARRI Signature, Cooke S8/i, Cooke Anamorphic/i, most rehoused vintage — is made to order, not unavailable. That is 14 to 21 business days with a dimensioned drawing in the quote. Zooms, box lenses and broadcast ENG glass ship lying down in a horizontal case instead; the vertical system is a prime-lens product. Ask for a build or call 818-767-3030.
The four widest 8-hole cases run past a 24-inch cart doorway. Those are shipping cases — for getting expensive glass onto a plane or into a truck.
Will my lens fit?
Look it up in the lens fit finder. It covers 93 cinema lens series: 49 fit a stock Universal Vertical case, 10 need a cut-to-fit interior, and 34 belong in a horizontal case. The finder tells you which, and links the exact case to buy.
My set mixes short and long primes. How do they all stay put?
Every case is 14 inches tall inside and clears primes up to 11-1/2 inches. Hard foam risers and soft foam circles sit under shorter lenses to bring each one up to the lid foam, so everything is held top and bottom regardless of focal length.
Why are there 5- and 7-hole cases but no 3-hole?
The 5- and 7-hole cases are the 6- and 8-hole bodies with a square accessory pocket cut in the spare position — filters, follow-focus motors, a light meter. For three lenses, most crews take the 4-hole and keep the spare as an accessory pocket the same way.
When does same-day shipping apply?
All 21 cases are pre-made in black and held in stock. Orders placed before the carrier cut-off ship the same business day. Cut-to-fit interiors and holes over 5 inches are custom builds at 14 to 21 business days.
What happens when I change glass?
Nothing — that is the point. The holes are standard sizes, not casts of one lens set, so the same case carries your next set too. Check the new series in the finder and re-stack the risers.

Start with the product type if your fit is already known. Use filters when you are narrowing by shell, size, or use case. If the build is unusual, overloaded, or timing-sensitive, move into the custom path before forcing a guess.
